_{[Looks like it's that time for a fresh wave of newcomers, because there is a man clad in a white suit currently squeezing sea water out of a long scarf in the plaza. On the positive side, at least water doesn't stain the fabric as easily. Once he's satisfied he hangs it over a few branches of the coral and turns to examine his surroundings a bit better. He wasn't quite expecting to show up in an underwater city after traversing the mines, and he definitely didn't expect to find a strange tattoo on the back of his hand. The device that turned up in his coat pocket was another oddity, but he could tinker around with it once he learned where he was and how he arrived.]}

Unfortunately, I'm not. This place... is capable of pulling people to it from different points in time. It is 1914 for me back home, for example.

And does this place have a name? It's one thing to wake up soaked to the bone, but another thing entirely to be under an ocean of some sort with no knowledge as to where it is. Not to mention the newest addition I've found myself with...

The city is called Vatheon, I don't know much beyond that, except that we're no longer on our own world now. The natives seem friendly, if unhelpful on the information front, but at least they're gracious hosts, as nearly everything here is given away free for the taking.

It seems everyone brought here gains that little addition.

[Possibly a few months or more ahead of him then..but the clothing definitely didn't make it look like he'd been pulled from his prison cell. Time perhaps to try his hand at fishing once again...]

That's... a little strange to give nearly everything away for nothing.

I take it Vatheon has it's own currency as well, then? Judging by your choice of words there are still things we're required to pay for.

It is, though I suspect there's a reason behind that.

[He's still seeking information on that suspicion though. As of yet, he's gotten nothing really concrete.]

Yes, there is one place which requires payment in the form of something called Starfish Tokens, but the form of that currency is a simple card it would seem. I'm uncertain as of yet just how one gains those, but the city is gracious enough to provide some of them upon arrival fortunately.

[A fact he was grateful for since he'd needed them to get the materials needed to replace his gloves.]

I believe its called a Star Fish Communicator, or SFC for short. It's how the majority of people communicate here beyond face to face.

[It's something of a fascinating thing really, he's still not entirely certain just how it does some of the things it does, but so far he's resisted the impulse to take it apart to see just how it worked.]

Sounds like names based off of sea creatures is going to be a fairly common thing, then.
