Might as well get some more practice
Character: Bloody Marie
Fandom: Skullgirls
Player Name: Jon
[The last thing Marie remembered was the final conversation her and Peacock had shared before her end. All things considered, Marie was happy with her end. She had dealt the mafia huge blows, slaughtered those awful slave traders, and reconciled with her lost friend before dying at her hand. A fitting end, she thought as she faded away, and her soul could finally rest in peace.
...or it should have.
Suddenly, Marie regained consciousness. Her eyes opened slowly...and then getting a vague look, they shot open completely. She looked at her surroundings with confusion, her body still lying down on the ground. Finally...she realized that she was completely aware of herself...and she could feel her body.]
...
[She wasn't sure what the afterlife felt like, but she knew damn well this wasn't it. Finally, she sat up off the ground and...noticed something. A voice...a familiar one, in the back of her mind....the Skullheart. She could barely process it, until she realized how quiet it was. And not only that, but it felt like she was in almost full control of herself. Wherever she was, she had been brought back to...life? No. No, life wouldn't be the proper term, but it was the best she could think of. Not only that, but she still was the Skullgirl.]
This...shouldn't be possible.
[Finally, she got up and floated roughly a foot off of the ground and looked at the surround area again. It seemed she was underwater, in some kind of city.]
...what is this place?

...what is this place?

Man, you would think an underwater city would be more exciting. Where's all the gambling, the cigar shops, the shooting galleries...!
*Peacock stops in her tracks when she see's the gothic bone maid. She rubs her eye sockets, then starts to approach her.*
Marie? What are you doing here? You're supposed to be dead.
no subject
....I should be.
[A beat.]
Yet here I am. This...doesn't make sense.
no subject
Nothing about this fish town makes sense....
no subject
Patricia, what are you doing?
no subject
Seems like you are real.
no subject
[After that, she sighs.]
I don't understand this at all.
no subject
*She smiles*
It is nice to see you alive though. You aren't still being controlled are you?
no subject
[At Peacock's question, she pauses. After a while, she thinks she has her answer.]
I seem to have more control here...wherever here is than back at home. A lot more.
[She actually smiles. Could things be different?]
no subject
Really, that's good to hear. I would hate to have to beat you up
no subject
[A nod.]
I am glad, I do not wish to fight you again, Patricia.
no subject
... couldn't make this up if I tried.
no subject
[She turns to look over at said coral.]
...It does seem to be emitting an amazing power.
no subject
Couldn't tell. Just seems like a bunch of coral to me...

I sense something, but honestly my scanners have been on the fritz since arriving here. And that's not all that is acting up.
no subject
I seem to have more control over the Skull Heart's power because something is limiting it.

*Peacock lifts her hat, And Avery is there in a little bed coughing.*
no subject
Yes, she does look rather ill. Has this happened before?
