Character: Monaka Miyama-Uguisu
Fandom: The Miyama-Uguisu Mansion Incident
Player Name: Cyndi
[Monaka should had known better than to look up. She wasn't sure what had happened, but she already felt wary of the situation. Her whole body was drenched in cold water. It soaked right through every layer of clothing she wore, it saturated her hair, and dripped off the tip of her nose. The soft, rhythmic sound of water dripping did not calm Monaka in the slightest. It only made her far too aware that, before she arrived here, she had been in water. She had been too close to the water, perhaps.
Perhaps she had fallen in.
She looked around her, hoping to see something familiar but everything was too new, too shocking. Even the trees seemed odd, maybe it had something to do with the weather? Monaka glanced upward and was instantly rooted to the spot. A man making his way through town tried to speak to her, but Monaka could not hear him. Her eyes were trained on the sight above her head, at the wide expanse of deep blue water, barely held back by some unearthly force.
The sight of it sent a chill down her spine. It reminded her far too much of a time long ago, when she could still see her parents' smile, when she could see them face down and unmoving.
All she could feel was a deep-seated terror as it worked its way through her body, paralyzing her to the spot.]
No... Please, no... [It wasn't directed towards anyone in the area. She held herself tightly, trying hard to push down the fear that had lodged itself into her throat.]
It can't be real... [It was a nightmare after all. The world was closing in all around her, that thin barrier that held back the water was sure to break and then -- and then -- and then --
Monaka held back a sob as she held herself tighter, trying yet failing, to bring herself back together.]

Still, she appreciated Sion's companionship. With as nauseous and clammy as she was beginning to feel, it was better to have someone rather than to be alone.
Monaka felt her stomach lurch as it finally (FINALLY) came to a stop. Only then did she trust herself to speak.]
...uhm... Did we make it, Mr. Sion?

It's stopped, at the very least. Shall we go out?
[ He's thinking there might be a good chance of needing to claim a break in a spot that is hopefully sunny. That ought to be a good start, right? ]

She gratefully takes his hand and, with a little effort, stands upright. The sooner she was out of the elevator, the better she would feel.
...And sunny spots were magnificent.]

On the other hand. ]
.. I'm no master of geography, but I am fairly sure....
[ that an island is like a mountain mostly under water. And if they had just been under it.... ]
... that something is very odd about this....
[ but that looks an awful lot like a bench. He'll casually head this direction.

[Did she mention that she just got over her water phobia? No? Well, then, it would be a bad time to mention it. She tried not to cower behind him when she caught sight of the land's topography - or lack there of.
They had come from beneath the ocean. She had really been submerged... This was not helping her with her sickness. But the bench is a welcome sight. The sun was beginning to warm her up, though she still shivered beneath her clothes.]

[ He's pretty sure this isn't really possible. Anyway- ]
After a little drying, shall we look for answers? Ah- excuse me for a moment.
[ Because he was getting tired of how heavy his clothing is. Sion steps aside for a moment, so he can shed that robe, which means he has to take a bunch of waist things off, then there's that odd skirt, which is really just a thing tied around his waist. So with ball of fabric in hand, Sion will be in a shirt and pants now. ]

[Or horrific. Either way. Monaka turned her face towards the sun, hoping to absorb as much warmth as she needed.
Couldn't she just wake up instead of being forced to stay asleep? But Sion did have good suggestions and he hadn't led her astray just yet.
She was just about to ask why he was excusing himself when she noticed how he was beginning to undress. She gave a frightened squeak and looked the other way.
That was not something she was ready for! Even -- Even if she was more than a little curious. She decided that she'd rather be curious later.
...But it would help her get dry if she got rid of the wet clothes...]

[ Really, this isn't his underclothes. This is... just layer one.
And he looks a bit less regal like that, huh. Funny (purple-) tunic and pants, near-knee boots. ]
It's just that it looked as heavy as it felt.
[ So much fabric. ]

It's all right... You seem smaller. [If he looked smaller without that one layer, how big did she seem? Oh, she didn't feel like giving it a second thought.
But she did like his boots.] Do you always wear that many layers?

Occasionally I get by with a coat instead of a robe. But usually, yes, layers.
