Character: Marcello.
Fandom: Dragon Quest 8.
Player Name: Lisa
[Marcello's body quietly lay amongst the rubble for some time. The bits of rocks made him feel woefully uncomfortable. And the one lying beneath his elbow did indeed jab into his arm and make him move. And he was soaking. Even if he wasn't lying amongst the rubble back on Neos - he thought he was - he was still rubbing the back of his head and feeling wamrth run to the side of it. While it felt strange, for he was soaked through. He swung over his arm and rose to his feet as slowly and clumsily as he could force his body to move.]
[He took the time to orient himself. It was strange. Night had spread like a dark veil across the sky. He saw beyond his pile a clean city. He stropped then and waited for his mind to catch up with his eyes, with a hand gripped over his amulet like a talisman. His free hand pushed his sword down stiffly, like it was struggling against some unseen force.]

What I say about them is true, though. Pokemon can be hostile, that's true, but for the most part they're willing to cooperate with humans.
Unfortunately, there are some people who mistreat Pokemon, and use them and their abilities for all the wrong reasons. Those Pokemon have their trust in humans broken a lot of the time, and are bitter and hostile towards them as a result. Fortunately, that's a very small percentage of the Pokemon population as a whole ...
... It's still not something good, though. A friend of mine from my world is here, and he's very sensitive to the idea of Pokemon mistreatment. For a long time, he thought all humans mistreated Pokemon, and used them against their will. He had a mission to liberate all of them. I'm glad I was able to show him just how many Pokemon there are who really like working with their trainers ...
Shall we wrap this up?
This is a fascinating topic. I do not in the least bit understand the particulars - but there are certain issues I have knowledge and experience of, and can understand.
[A hand-waive.]
But I cannot afford such discussion at the moment. I shall have to look into my presence here... and other matters. In regards to my offer, do not hesitate to contact me at any time.
[He wrings one of the tails of his coat.]
On second thoughts, ask when I am dry.
Sure sure ~
Do you think you can handle things from here, or would you like some help with getting settled into the city?
[ Might as well offer to help more while she's here ... ]
Aighto
Well. Certainly I will be fine. But I thank you for the help you have given me so far. Farewell, and may good fortune be always a friend to you.
[With that said, he carried on walking.]
