Too late, the melody is over
Character: Isana Yashiro
Fandom: K
Player Name: Jeni
(Warning: Shiro is coming from very near the end of episode 11 for this test run, which means he's heaaaavily spoilerific. I'm putting my post under a cut, but tag/read at your own risk.)
He'd been stabbed.
He distinctly remembered the sensation of sharp, jagged glass being thrust in to his stomach by a girl that looked like Kukuri, but was certainly not acting like her at all. Not like the Kukuri he remembered.
Not that his memories were anything to be trusted anymore.
But no matter how many times he tried to tell himself that, the teenage boy who called himself Yashiro Isana - Shiro for short - couldn't seem to stop touching the hole in his shirt, feeling for a wound that just wasn't there.
Sopping wet, staring at the fountain he'd unceremoniously landed in several moments earlier, he was struggling to get his thoughts together and coming up short. Everything was a jumbled mess, and somewhere just outside of his reach he felt that he had been so close to finally having some answers.
But he had slipped away from it, mere seconds before he could reach that long searched for truth, and there was a strangely fox-like face in his mind that was mocking him all the while, keeping those secrets closely guarded while Shiro was whisked away to... somewhere.
That was just his luck, wasn't it? Two steps forward, ten steps back. And in to another world, apparently.
A sigh left the boy as he wistfully looked up to stare at the odd dome that covered the city he was now in, a humorless, weak laugh leaving him. He kept rubbing at that spot. For a non-injury, his stomach was certainly sore.
"That figures... standing around won't do me any good, though. Maa... if I do nothing Kuroh will get irritated, I'm sure..."
If his companion was even there.
He stooped and picked up the red parasol that some how managed to come with him, dropping it over one shoulder as he finally took a better look around.
"Now... where to start?"

"Now... where to start?"

Thank you for the meal!
[And now he'll start picking at it, trying to not make a huge mess.]

Duke watches, awkwardly. There seems to be something off about this. . . .
Maybe he can figure it out if he studies the situation long enough. . . . ]
no subject
But he does look up after the first bite with a grateful smile.]
It's very good, thank you.
no subject
with fingers. Why wouldn't pie be one of them-
Yeah, no. Cooked fruit + fingers = mess. That is why forks are a thing. ]
... Forks.
[ He'll. Just kinda turn and go get some- ]
no subject
But thank you.
no subject
Expected them to go home and be eaten.
[ and here is your fork. ]
no subject
[Shiro takes the fork, but the weight of what he just said slowly falls on him, leaving him staring at his food.
When was the last time he had a home? His "enrollment" in Ashinaka High School had been nothing but a ruse.
But was a ruse he had enjoyed, however short the time was.]
I suppose I'll have to find my own housing now, won't I?
no subject
[ Or you can build your own home, or put a tent up in the forest, or something like that. ]
no subject
[Just so long as it's not a love hotel. Though from the sounds of it it's far from it.]
no subject
Inn, tavern with lodging and lacking bar, common room, or taproom.
no subject
[Nomming more of the pie.]
I suppose now the choice is if I should stay there, or attempt to make my way on my own.
... oh! Jumping topics for the moment, but have any others appeared here recently? I'm hoping some of my friends might be here.
no subject
[ And a slight headtilt. ]
This week is commonly known as 'arrival week'. Plaza is place of arrivals, possible. Do not know.
[ If they did, they didn't ask a question in Duke's expanded hearing range and he didn't show up to answer it. ]
no subject
[That's.. going to be interesting.]
I see... is there any sort of residency list?
no subject
[ He kinda feels like that explains all it needs to... ]
no subject
[His uniform didn't have many pockets, but the mention of it did make Shiro suddenly aware that he'd been getting jabbed with something uncomfortable in his hip since his arrival.
He patted it with a hand before reaching in and pulling out the strange device, only to stare at it.]
no subject
[ If he looks confused for too long Duke will just reach over and find the list for him. ]
no subject
[And there he goes, fiddling with functions and pressing buttons to see what they do.]
no subject
Have fun. ]
no subject
Never thought he'd actually miss messing with those things.
Soon enough though he has the list up and is flipping through it, but a frown tugs on is lips. There's no mention of Kuroh Yatagami or Neko.]
... I suppose I'm on my own again for now.
no subject
[ Okay. There isn't really anything Duke can say to that. ]
no subject
I'll just have to get things ready for them then!
no subject
[ That would be his first step- ]
no subject
no subject
[ .... Was he expecting a different answer? ]
no subject
... well, yes, I would expect as much.
["But can you be a little more specific?" seems to be the unasked question here.]
