[This was either a dream or some form of punishment. Chidori wasn't sure what could be worse, but the cold from the water dripping down her face told her she wasn't in the last place she remembered. She looked up, staring into the expanse of blue above her. There was something calming about it, or perhaps it was just the realization that she was no longer in a hospital.

That also meant she had nothing with her. And a hospital robe wasn't going to keep her warm like this.]

[Junpei's taken to popping by the coral lately when the cycle of new people comes in. Even if people from his own world don't arrive, he can at least give any newcomers a friendly face and a point in the right direction.

A shock of red hair, however, alerts him immediately to some incoming heartbreak again.

Damn. Goddamn. Why does this place keep doing this to him? To her? It looks like she's in her hospital garb, even, so she's even more vulnerable than last time. Why can't whoever's in charge just leave them alone?]

[But whatever the reason for doing, Chidori needs help, and it can't be from anyone she doesn't recognize. Junpei grabs a few towels and approaches the girl, not too fast so she doesn't become frightened.]

Chidori?

[He then drapes a towel over her shoulders gently.]

Hey. I think you'll need a couple of these.

[It was a familiar voice, one Chidori had not expected to hear in a place like this, but it wasn't exactly a comfort to her. Even when he offered her a towel, she was hesitant to respond. After everything that had happened, he could still treat her with kindness? Or maybe he was attempting to guilt her for all she had done to him..

After a moment, Chidori pulled the towel tightly around her shoulders. Even she couldn't deny that the cold water was getting to her. She was at a loss for proper conversation. What could she even say? She only had one question.] Where am I?

[Yet on his end all he's thinking of is staying calm and cool for Chidori's sake. Feelings or no feelings, she's still his friend above all things.]

This is Vatheon. It's not our world, it's some kinda city in a bubble under the ocean. There are tons of other people brought here, too, all from different worlds. As for who brought us and why...we're basically dropped here and told to make lives for ourselves. There was somethin' about our energy maintaining the barrier around us, too?

The ocean? [That would explain why she was soaked. Chidori looked up again, staring into the water as if expecting something to happen. She wanted desperately for this to be a dream.

She quickly glanced at Junpei and tightened the towel around her shoulders.] Do you do this every time?

[He saw that.

He takes off his jacket and drapes it around her shoulders too.]

Come on, we should get to some place warmer before we talk. It's December, y'know?
