Samm intros injured people
Character: Elend Venture
Fandom: Mistborn
Player Name: Samm
[ Well.
This. This hurts a lot.
Elend thought that laying there while his blood left him slowly while his wife battled the instinct to use the power to heal him instead of save the world was painful enough. It had been right, though. Release the power at the Well, defeat the Deepness, save all the people.
He's vaguely aware that salt could explain why he hurts so much, but when one is bleeding out - almost dead - from a gut wound, he's not really placing the extra dampness as water.
Anyone want to help him? He's got a weird bandage - a cloak that seems to be mostly tassels - that is very clearly stained through. And lets not even start talking about his sootstained white uniform.
But oddly enough, he doesn't really look like he's bleeding out, in terms of skin color. ]

Hey, are you all right?!
[Not waiting for an answer, his hands reach to check the makeshift bandage. How bad is the wound, and can the man handle being lifted to touch the coral?]
no subject
But obviously its not because he's super special and already healing, as Lloyd's only reply is a groan. ]
no subject
Come on, don't die...
no subject
They're right about salt and wounds, if you didn't know that already. [ Best first words. He'll register that you look like a teen and are holding him up fairly easily after he's finished coughing and holding his stomach with a grimace. ]
no subject
I've only had small cuts get salt in them before. Just, uh, try not to think about it?
[Yeah, he can only imagine how useless that piece of advice is right now.]
Here, put your hand on the coral. It'll help, I promise.
no subject
Oh you offered something he's never seen before as a distraction. ]
Coral? Is that what this is? [ He's fairly sure that coral doesn't have any mystic healing properties, and that "It will help, I promise" sounds awkwardly like something you tell someone who is dying and you give them strong alcohol-
but sure. He's perfectly willing to touch the big rocky thing and- ]
... I have the uncomfortable feeling that some of my bandaging isn't on the surface.
no subject
Hang on, just keep holding that.
[As quickly as he can, while still awkwardly propping Elend up, the teen works to pull the bandages back to make room for growing new skin.]
Do you have any other bandages besides the one on your stomach?
no subject
[ Stupid Mist-spirit. He trusted you.
Although pretty soon Elend might be able to put his legs down and balance against the coral with some help, rather than being help. Nice Coral, and he's still Burning pewter... ]
no subject
Well, it'll keep healing you until you let go. How are you feeling now?
no subject
Also you are wearing a lot of metal. And color. and.... [ Give him a moment of blinking at the bubble. ]
That's a very unusual color, and are there things moving in it? Also are all these things supposed to be green? [ Whoops, he's feeling better, now he's curious. ]
no subject
[He still sounds a little dazed and confused, and asking strange questions, but considering his circumstances, it's understandable. Lloyd follows his line of sight up to the bubble.]
Oh, that? We're underwater. Those are just fish and things that live in the ocean around us. [A blink.] What green things?
no subject
But- I'm not in- [ Give him a moment to get his words. ]
Obviously I'm not in Kredic Shaw any longer, but ... the Final Empire? Luthadel? Or someone else entirely because you are wearing metal...
no subject
But that's...]
You've... never seen grass before?
[He shakes his head, partly in response to the man's questions, partly to shake off his own distractedness. Right, he's new. Lloyd should probably explain a few things.]
You're not in your world anymore. This is Vatheon. It's kind of... between all the other worlds, I guess. I'm not sure I can explain it very well. I'm not from here, either. But no one's figured out how to go back, at least not that we know about, so you might be stuck here for a while.
What's wrong with wearing metal?
no subject
[ A blink at that explanation. ]
So I shouldn't panic that the people that should be around are most definitely not?
Because a Misting or Mistborn could kill you with it. That's why what looks like metal on me is really wood. But that probably isn't a problem for you, because my lack of knowledge about those fascinating green things and your reaction means you aren't from my.. ah, world.
no subject
[Because Lloyd is having a hard time grasping the idea of a world without grass or trees.]
No, you shouldn't. They're probably all still back in your world. My friends told me time gets stopped in your world, too, so nothing happens until you go back. [He scratches the back of his neck.] I don't have proof, and I don't know how it works. That's just what they said. I'm not sure if it's really true.
[His brow furrows into uncertain skepticism.]
...they could kill me with my buttons? How would they do that?
no subject
[ He listens, and thinks that over. Well, it would stop Vin from leveling the city in looking for him. ]
.. Nothing happens. Does than mean I don't die, or I come back as I am here - if or when I go back.
Coins, buttons, swords - All that matters is that its metal. They can Push or Pull it, and you don't really want to be in the way of anything moving either direction.
no subject
[The concept boggles him.]
What do you eat?
I don't know if your'e healed when you go back. Maybe? It would make sense if you got healed and were okay only to get un-healed when you go back.
[...he gets the feeling he's missing something here.]
But they could push or pull other things, too. I mean, I could push wood or stone just the same as metal. Why'd metal so bad?
no subject
To preserve what happened then? I think that makes sense...
Because they can only Push or Pull on metal. [ Wait. ]
I don't mean with their hands. With Allomancy, they Push [ and he's trying to make that P for Push be noticeable ] on metals, and smaller metal moves.
[ Speaking of metals, Elend is actually running low on pewter, but he hasn't realized he's Burning it yet. Or maybe how to tell he's running low... Just studying the coral under his hand with new appreciation. ]
no subject
I don't get it...
[But he's trying, at least, to understand. Trying to put the pieces of what Elend is telling him together with his own experience. He doesn't pick up on that capital letter, though he does hear the emphasis.]
I've never heard of Alluminancy. Is that like using mana?
[He doesn't realize anything is wrong besides the obvious, and he thinks that's being taken care of so long as Elend keeps his hand on the coral.]
no subject
No, no - I have no idea what this mana is you're talking about - but not alluminancy, Allomancy. Like alloy - the magic of metals, perhaps.
