Character: Wander
Fandom: Shadow of the Colossus
Player Name: Mirr!
In the plaza, it seems that there's yet another newcomer.
...One that looks like he might not have lasted in the process of arriving.
He's lying face down on the cobblestone, soaking wet, dark shadowy veins standing out against his deathly pale skin. His clothing is covered with unidentifiable stains, and he smells like dust kicked up by a rainstorm. It's the very definition of One Dead Human. Except for the small black horns sticking out from underneath his hair.
Finally he starts stirring, his voice tinged by a dull echo as he groans in the effort of trying to pull himself to his feet. He gets to his knees before he starts coughing, spitting out seawater that's followed by a thick black smoke that settles like dust on the ground.
...Yeah, he's definitely not looking so good.

But today was clearly different. Whoever-- ... whatever this was in the middle of the plaza did not look or sound good at all.
Rin approached cautiously, setting down his bag slowly and taking his sword out from it's case. He didn't remove the sheath, but he was ready to fight if it came down to that.
"... h-hey! You okay? Do... you need a healer or somethin'?"

"Where..." He looks around. This isn't the temple. His initial question, where Mono might be, is forgotten in the abrupt change of scenery.
"Where am I?"
Actual speech makes the echo in his voice even more painfully obvious.

"It's called Vatheon. It's.. a city under the sea. You were taken from your home and brought here and... sorry, but there's no way to get back..."
He speaks calmly and slowly, avoiding any slang so as not to confuse the stranger. He's not really sure what can be done for the man, though. What is that stuff that he's coughing up, anyway?

He looks up, his pale, glowing blue eyes fixed in a glare. It's less anger and more...panic? Longing? Maybe a mix of all three. "I have to! I have to know she's safe..."

"L-look, I'unno what to tell you. ... 'cept that, well... time doesn't really move, back wherever you came from. If you do go back it'll be because the god of this place decided to send you back, and you'll just show up wherever you left off."

He shifts, pulling himself forward so he can sit properly. His body feels so strange and heavy. His head hurts. It's difficult to move. But at least the fog over his mind is lifting. What he must look like, to make this boy maybe five years younger than he is so suspicious of him?
The memory of the Dormin is first and foremost. He looks away from the stranger, at his tattered, muddy tabard. "I've had enough of gods."
His voice sounds as tired as he feels.

Actually there was a reason, but no matter how many times it was explained to him, Rin still never really understood it fully. He wasn't about to explain that to some one else, especially some one in Wander's state.
"... you sure you don't need a healer?"

He glanced at his hand, at the black veins standing out prominently against his skin. Whatever had happened to him, however he had changed, there was no use resisting it. "It doesn't matter."

He was still, admittedly, a little bit wary of the man. He just wasn't sure what to make of him. There was a darkness about him that wasn't entirely his own, which was a strange enough sensation on it's own. But he also felt like it was eclipsing something else entirely. It was... unsettling. Especially because Rin could tell he wasn't a demon.
"Well uh... if you want I can take you back to my place if you need a bit to get on your feet or whatever..."
He wasn't sure how Maka was going to take that, but if anyone could figure out the conflicting feelings it would be her and her soul perception.

"...Have you seen a woman wearing all white? With long black hair? Her name is Mono. ...she's important to me."

A quick scroll of the network revealed no one by the name of "Mono" current in the city.
"Sorry. Looks like she's still... wherever you came from."
It was difficult to tell if that was a good or bad thing.
