O-Oh... Hello? [Vatheon has now acquired one (1) dripping wet young girl. Azmaria wipes back some of her hair now hanging in her face and starts to wring out some of the water from her dress.]

This is very bad, oh... R-Rosette? Joshua? I-I'm not sure where I am, but... [While wringing out her dress she notices the SFC device in her dress pocket and examines it curiously.] Huh?

[Asbel was just passing through the plaza on the way home. It was hard to miss the confused looking girl in the center. He began walking toward her, hoping to offer some help.]

Excuse me miss, are you lost?

[As he got closer he noticed she was drenched. Come to think of it Asbel had never seen her before.]

Uh... Wait right there!

[Without another word he ran off in the opposite direction, returning shortly with a towel. Asbel smiled and held it out to her.]

Here.

O-Oh...! [She starts to say something to the man before he... runs off for some reason or another.

But she stays there, a bit unsure as she continues wringing out her hair. When he returns with a towel she gives him a smile.] Oh, thank you! You didn't have to go to this trouble, sir... [She uses it to pat at her hair and face.]

Oh it's no trouble. It was the same when I got to Vatheon.

[Then Asbel remembered a similar incident with Cheria. He turned away from the girl slightly red faced.]

So... I guess you must be new here, huh?

[She continues to pat herself carefully with the towel. By this point she'd just have to air dry unless she found another set of clothes she could wear. Oh well.]

[A nod! She twists the towel in her hands.] I... I am. [An inhale.] Where am I?

[Asbel kept his back turned as Azmaria dried herself off; after all it wasn't polite to stare at a girl in wet clothes, right?

Asbel rubbed the back of his head trying to come up with an answer for her.]

I'm not sure I'm the best person to explain this...

[Might as well get right to the point.]

You're in Vatheon. It's an underwater city on a planet that's probably really far away from your home. You were brought here by that.

[He pointed at the coral in the center of the plaza.]

It might sound kind of crazy, but that's the truth.

[Her motions stopped as she listened to him, eyes wide.

If that was truly the case then what was going to happen back... Her lips twist in worry.] I have- I have people depending on me back home! [Her hands clench the towel as she raises her voice a little, but not directly at him. She lowers her voice.] I- I know I shouldn't yell at you... I'm sorry, but...

What will happen to everyone I know? [She doesn't expect him to know the answer, but saying it out loud only cements the reality of her situation further.]

[Asbel turns to face her, the concern is clear on his face.]

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you.

[He considered her question. He didn't really know what had happened back home, but Vatheon seemed to take people from different times.]

Well... I don't really know.

[Wait wait Asbel that's only going to frighten her.]

Uh! Well there's a chance some people you know might already be here.

[At least he hoped that was the case.]

[She shakes her head.] No... It's alright. I'm just not sure what to make of everything! [A weak smile. Even though she knew she can't depend on them, she still longs for Chrno and Rosette's presence.

She could do this.] -What? [His last statement stops her.] R-Really? How do I find out if that is possible?

[Fwump!

That would be a towel coming down on her head.]

Gonna catch cold if you stay like that.

Eep! [Startled, she turns around to see who her towel-giver is, pulling it off her head to hold it.] U-Um, thank you!

[Feeling awkward still she starts to pat her hair gently with the towel, glancing up at him nervously.] Are... Do you know where I am?

[One wouldn't normally take him for such a softie, but he's taken to looking out at the plaza around the time new arrivals start showing up, and not just for the off chance some one he knows might show. Most of them get scooped up by Zelda or the rest of the welcome wagon first, but every so often he spots one that got over looked or missed during a break.

And damned if he didn't have a soft spot for kids younger than himself. Hence the rather unceremonious towel dropping.]

Yeah. It's called Vatheon. You might wanna look up.

[And he points up, specifically at the bubble surrounding the city.]

Huh? [She follows the direction of his finger and drops her towel in surprise. A small whimper escapes from her.]

Are- Are we under water??? [Oh no oh no. First she was on an island in the sky and now she's in a city under the water? What in the world.] B-But how??

[Oops. He needs to stop being so amused at freaking people out like that. Admittedly he does laugh a little bit, but it's only until he picks the towel up and puts it back on her head.]

Calm down...

[He crouches down and starts drying her hair for her. Damn, she's got a lot of it...]

You got dragged here by Lamufao. He's... kind of a god, I guess. Anyway, he's a giant coral that basically uses everyone here as a power source to keep that, [he points up again] above us.

Also you can't get home unless coral-god decides to throw ya back. But don't freak, time doesn't actually move back in your home world. Whenever you do go back it'll just be like you never left.

Uh... I think that's everyth-- oh! No, that's right. Everything's free, including housin', unless you want somethin' special from your world, then that takes tokens. Don't usually do this so I think I got it covered...

[pracao]

[She shuts her mouth when he laughs, cheeks flushed abashedly. She doesn't outright protest when he starts to dry her hair, knowing full well she can do it herself, but it would be rude to interrupt him. Oh gosh.

That's a lot to take in. She holds her fists against her chest, mulling this over.] Is this... a dream? It feels like I'm dreaming...

[She frowns a little and looks up at him.] Exactly... How many people are trapped here? How many people have yet to be able to go back to their homes?

Nope. Not a dream. Even if it feels like it right now.

[He lets the towel fall on her shoulders, sitting back and resting his arms across his knes, giving a shrug.]

I'unno, maybe a hundred? People come and go a lot, though, so you never know what's gonna happen.

[pracao]

[She fidgets with the edge of the towel, worrying her lower lip.] You sound like you've been through this before... E-Explaining this, I mean!

[Her eyes widen.] Oh, I'm so sorry! I never introduced myself! [Fidget fidget.] My name is Azmaria... Thank you so much for taking the time to explain all of this to me!

Well I've been here almost a year, so yeah. Few times. Don't worry 'bout it. Usually the welcome committee woulda got you, but I guess they're busy or somethin'.

[He grins at her.]

I'm Rin Okumura. Nice t'meet ya, Azmaria.

[pracao]

Oh, that's a long time... [Would she be here that long? Or longer? Would time really be stopped even after that long? She doesn't ask Rin any of this though, knowing he probably wouldn't have an answer.] Welcome committee...? [Wow.]

[... But she smiles back.] It's nice to meet you too, Rin! [Then her eye catches his tail and she just. Blinks. Was that a...?

Oh no, please don't catch her staring! She looks back at him, trying not to appear nervous.] A-Ah...!

[Rin is so used to having his tail out that he usually doesn't give it much thought, so it's only when she looks at it that he follows her gaze. The fluffy end of it twitches upwards a bit.]

... oh. Yeah. That.

[To tell a kid that he's a demon or not... hmn.]

Uh. Not everyone here has a tail. That's just... me.

Are... [YOU A DEMON but that would sound weird and strange and what if he wasn't? Everything was upside down and topsy turvy here and how was she to know if he went by her home world's rules?

Oh gosh that's a lot to think about.] U-Um, it isn't weird! I mean, I don't think it's weird or strange or... anything! Please don't think that I think that!

[Rin blinks a few times, then laughs, showing his pointed fangs as he does so.]

No, it's fine. It's pretty weird, innit? Even I think that, and it's mine!

[His tail twitches again, curling up a bit more.]

[She considers asking him if he's human, but...

No, that would be rude of her. It isn't any of her business and he's such a nice person, why should it matter if he's human or not? She smiles.]

Actually I... I think it's very cute! [So so cute.]

[He's had a lot of different reactions to the "I'm half-demon" revelation in Vatheon, but it still doesn't stop him from being at least a little cautious on telling it out right.

Still, the cute comment gets a bit of a blush and another, slightly sheepish laugh.]

[One of her BFFs is a demon. She don't judge, bro.]

[Pulling the towel away from her neck, she just continues to smile.] I mean it! A-Anyone who thinks differently is just jealous...! [Oh no she's spouting off weird things again. Without thinking she covers her face with the towel, her apologies muffled.] I'm sorry-...!

[SOME PEOPLE DO but most of them aren't in Vatheon, surprisingly.]

[She peeks over the towel to see him smiling.

She starts to giggle before all out laughing, trying hard to stifle herself with the towel. Sorry, Rin.]

Where do I go if... I want a place to stay? [It's all laughs now, but she won't be very happy later when it's dark and she doesn't have a place to stay. She has to figure these things out now to get by at least.]

Well, anywhere, really. It's all free, so if you find some place that's open you can usually just take it.

[He straightens and stretches his arms over his head, behind his back while looking down at her.]

Unless you don't wanna live alone. I can understand that. Scary, bein' in a new place after all.

[She nods nervously.] I-It is, but there's not much I can do about it. [She puffs up, trying her best to seem okay with this, hands fisted in front of her.] I can do this!

[Geez that's cute. And he's gotta give her credit for wanting to be independent, even though she's clearly younger than even he is.]
