[Izumo had been going to class one minute, talking to her friend Paku along the way, and the next moment, she found herself drenched from head to toe and standing in the middle of a very unfamiliar place.
And so, a very alarmed and very soggy teenaged girl found herself shivering in the middle of said plaza, looking absolutely terrified and doing her best not to show it to all of the unfamiliar people that now surrounded her]

[...So maybe someone else's soul did ping at her senses, what. Maka comes over to the entrance regardless, looking curiously at her boyfriend's companion.]

Um... yes. [she said, bowing her head a little. For once, her haughty exterior wasn't being worn on her sleeve] I'm Kamiki Izumo...

Kamiki, this is my girlfriend Maka Albarn. Maka, Kamiki. [Yes Rin, she got that. But at least he's being polite enough to make proper introductions?]
She just got here. We got anything for her to change in to? I can toss her uniform in the wash.

Of course I have clothes she can wear. [I mean, there's no issue of her chest being sweater puppies like Shiemi's. But she does reach up and tug on Rin's ear anyway.] Ehhh--you didn't even get her a pamphlet? You dork.
[And she directs Izumo to follow her with her other hand.]
Come on, Kamiki! I've got clothes for you in our room, it's just upstairs here.

[Well he got punished for it at least? As soon as he's released from Maka's death grip on his ear, he grumbles something under his breath and heads in to the kitchen. Might as well make some food while they're busy.]

Maka, meanwhile, is leading Izumo to their room and opens the closet to search out something she can change into. Man this girl sure is friendly and helpful to a stranger that just arrived in their house.]
As for Vatheon, well, we're stuck here until it sends us back home again. Rin might have told you already that he's been here for a while, I've been here for almost two years myself. [And she pulls out what looks to be an oddly stylized seifuku that's completely black except for the white cuffs and scarf (and is that a skull on the scarf? What the heck--).]
What we're told when we arrive is that we're to touch the coral to maintain our energy levels and the energy of the barrier surrounding us. The locals call it a god, but as time went on that's been proven to not exactly be the truth to us foreigners. [Maka then holds out the uniform to Izumo, moving to sit on the bed and wait while she changes.] Our abilities are slightly limited, or completely done away with depending on what they are, I guess they don't want us trying to destroy the bubble even though it's indestructible, not to mention that doesn't stop people from getting into fights regardless.
[...Yeah she is sticking around, problem?]
At any rate, they don't want us to be uncomfortable while we're here, so everything we could want in the city's shops is free to us and...we pretty much have free-range to live normal, peaceful lives!

Oh, don't worry, there are plenty of people that don't like this setup and are digging into what's really going on, asking questions from people who do know, like the nurses at the Clinic. There's...a lot more to it than what's told to us by the natives...if Rin had gotten a pamphlet for you, it would have laid out how this is actually an observational experiment orchestrated by anonymous scientists.
The coral is a construct by them, and they've drugged the natives out of lucidity, so they came to accept Lamufao as a god. The "curses" that are inflicted on us by the coral and our reactions to them create new data for the people watching us--or...well, it would if we could be sure they were actually still watching us. It's looking like this experiment has been abandoned, yet we're all still here until the coral sends us back home.
[Huff...man this never gets any easier to talk about.]
I'll have been here for two years in April, and I'm not even the most long-term resident here.

Uh-huh, there's Bon and Shiemi, Yukio, Rin and Yukio's dad--err, Father Fujimoto, not...the other one-- their mom Yuri and Mr. Faust, and he doesn't seem to be an exorcist any of you know, but Night comes from your world too.

Yes...sometimes Vatheon brings people from different time periods here, or even after they've died. It's kind of like some weird miraculous afterlife for them I guess.
/CRASHES BACK IN HERE
[That would be Rin near the door, prompted to come investigate when he suddenly hears a lot of yelling.
But he's not going to be rude and just burst in, even if it is his bedroom, too.]

... We're fine! [and then she turns back to Maka] I just... ugh, this is too much to take in...

[And she turns to where Rin is, all smiles and shoving Izumo's laundry at him.]
We're all done here, Rin! And Kamiki is briefed on what Vatheon's about.
[Then she pauses.]
--Oh! I should get you a brush and another towel for your hair, hold on a moment! [Maka just goes on her merry way to their bathroom, calling over her shoulder:] Hey, Rin, tell her about what the people from your world have been doing!

[Maka is pretty much gone by the time Rin even manages to get that out, and he turns back to Izumo with an awkward look.]
Uhm. Well I don't really know what Bon's been up to, he's just kinda here. Yukio is workin' at the clinic, Dad has just sorta been hangin' around here, Meph-- the principle is startin' a maid cafe, and Shiemi has been doin' a lot of gardening.
